Durability

To ensure durability, Milgard doesn't leave quality to chance. Milgard produces its own frame and sash components using only the finest grade materials. For example, we use a custom vinyl recipe and extrude our own vinyl components to ensure the best performance and durability over time. They also make our own fiberglass doors and windows. Milgard uses a process known as pultrusion, where glass rovings and mats are pulled at tremendous forces through a resin bath and a series of dies. These materials combine and catalyze to provide unparalleled tensile and torsional strength.

Materials

Nobody pays more attention to materials than Milgard. Where many other window companies don't have control over the entire process, they do. They temper their our own glass, they make our own insulated glass units, and they produce their own vinyl and fiberglass. This gives them the ultimate control over quality. But until recently, the complex profiles required for window designs have been impossible to successfully attain with fiberglass.
